THE COMPANY
March Designs & Measurements was formed in 1982 by the current Owner, John Marjoram. Who is still actively involved in the daily running of the business, giving clients direct access to the owner of the business. This access offers the extra assurance, not always present with larger organisations, that our customers can readily talk to the person at the top.
Because of John Marjoram's background of over 30 years on the design and production engineering side of measuring instruments, considerable expertise is available from the top down.
Initially, March Designs was formed to provide industry with an experienced source of design expertise to solve measuring, testing and process control problems. However, as time went by almost all of our work was concerned with the measuring and quality control aspects of production. In the mid 80's the trading name was altered to March Designs & Measurements.
The company owns its' own premises in Dunstable, Bedfordshire. A move had been considered but with the convenience of being located just ½ a mile from junction 11 of the M1, allowing easy access to the motorway network to the rest of the UK, it was decided to stay.
March Designs & Measurements supports their products and services with a high degree of technical and application expertise. This is achieved by the wide experience of engineers who have many decades of combined experience in the measuring and quality control areas of many differing types of industry.
At March Designs & Measurements we seek out the problems and enjoy engineering a solution to them.
OUR COMMITMENT TO QUALITY
As March Designs & Measurements has progressed over the years, great care has been taken to ensure that product quality and quality of service are maintained at a high level. All products that leave the company are 100% inspected, tested and calibrated. Significant investment has been made to ensure that in-house facilities are kept up to date and in line with customer requirements.
In-house facilities currently allow for the fully traceable calibration of: Airflow, Pressure, Linear dimensions, Mass and assorted electrical parameters, under monitored laboratory conditions.
We maintain relationships with external test houses to ensure that any testing required which falls outside of in-house capabilities is handled with the same quality and care as is applied to in-house testing.
